Years of insecurity and poor self-image led me to a perpetual victim-state life. The need to be prove my worthiness and be accepted led me to become a powerless person. In many ways, even my prayers felt pointless because my quality of life was dependent on another. I was always at the mercy of others’ decisions.
The Father’s embrace that covered me in the fabric of His love revealed to me the conquering power available in Jesus Christ. It is because of His love and in His love that I am able to conquer.
In Paul’s letter to the Romans, in chapter 8, he shares with us the strength and unconditional love of God. In Romans 8:35 he asks,
“Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”
Paul shares his response to this question saying,
“…neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus.”
Sandwiched between the question and response is a powerful verse that assures that we can OVERWHELMINGLY CONQUER because and through HIS LOVE. Victory is wrapped in His love.
You are more than a conqueror. You are victorious. Because you are wrapped in His love.
Verse of the Day
Today I’m sharing the verse in 2 translations, NASB & tPt.
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.Romans 8:37 (NASB)
Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!Romans 8:37 (tPt)
Prayer of the Day
Father, there are times where discouragement causes me to believe the lie that I am powerless, but the truth is that through Jesus I am more than a conqueror. I am not a victim to any person, this life, or even the enemy of our souls. I am able to overwhelmly conquer through your love.
Victory is wrapped in Your love. I am victorious because I am wrapped in Your love.
May your Holy Spirit wrap me with the blanket woven by the fibers of Your love revealing to me that Jesus has already overcome and because He already has overcome, I am more than a conqueror. I am victorious, in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
Song of the Day
Jesus did it! He’s already overcame. All you have to do is rest in it. You are more than a conqueror. You are victorious because you are wrapped in His love.
