Proverbs 27: River of Love

Its’s a beautiful day. From where am I can clearly see, taste, smell, and feel breakthrough. The sound of victory is all around me. Evil is under my feet. Most importantly, it’s abundantly clear that Jesus is King. He reigns justice, life, joy, peace, and love. His Kingdom lies in delightful expectation for the moment of glory where Heaven breaks through to Earth and Jesus demonstrates His Authority on Earth as it is in Heaven.

I heard the phone ring this morning, but not my phone. It was like the sound of a home phone and it definitely wasn’t a phone because we don’t have one. It was Home calling. Heaven was calling and it was time for me to get up and answer. As tired as I was, I got up with expectancy and excitement because I can feel a shift. Even my breathing feels lighter.

After I intentionally set my heart towards Jesus and aligned it with the Father’s heart, I opened up Proverbs and the first verse of today’s chapter had me chuckle.

Never brag about the plans you have for tomorrow, for you don’t have a clue what tomorrow may bring to you.

Proverbs 27:1

While this verse may bring uncertainty and nervousness to most analytical people, it brought me great comfort. From where I am, this verse is extremely relevant in my life. There’s a nuance though. I may not know what’s going to naturally happen in my natural life, but I can rest on what I do know Jesus will offer me tomorrow, well, every day. He is the Way, the Truth, the Life. He is the manifestation of the Love of God. Jesus is my everything. Jesus wants to be your everything.

Yes, I don’t know what life will throw at me tomorrow, however, I do know what Jesus offers. He offers joy, peace, love, and abundance. In reality, He’s already given it to me. I, we, get to partake of it every single day. There are times the enemy will try and distract us from that truth. The natural world around us may seem chaotic, but there is an unequaled peace that Jesus has given us. It’s the peace that matters. It’s true peace.

The Father revealed and demonstrated this peace to me 3.5 years ago in a powerful experience while in my kitchen cooking breakfast. This peace is wrapped in His love. When you know and accept His love, you experience His peace. It’s simply a byproduct of His love. It’s not separate from His love. It’s part of His love. That’s why Jesus and His Spirit gives us peace – because Jesus is the heart of the Father. Jesus is the love of the Father. Peace comes as part of that Love.

Do not worry about tomorrow. Rest in His love. Trust in His love.

I pray that you may not only know that God loves you in your mind, but that the revelation of God’s love may drop into your heart. I pray that as you read this the love of the Father flow through your entire being. May the river that runs red flow through you, remove all fear, and remove all lies that are contrary to the Father’s heart towards you. May you feel His embrace as the River of Life washes you and brings all dead things to life within your being.

You may not have time at this moment, but at some point today, take just a few moments – that’s all it takes. Sit or lie down, close your eyes, and think about Jesus. Imagine Him right in front of you. No matter how you see Jesus, just imagine Him. In pursuit of God your imagination is sanctified. Set your heart towards Jesus and ask the Father to reveal His love to you. Then simply wait. Give time, not for God to reveal it because He already has. Give time for you to perceive it. If you’ve never done this before, it’s new and could take time for you to perceive what’s happening. You may not know what to expect or what should happen. I can’t even tell you. You will just need to experience His love yourself.

Just sit and wait. Keep your eyes (heart) on Jesus the whole time. Listen. See. Feel. It’s a safe place. Allow the walls to break down. Let the Holy Spirit flow within you in fullness. His love will invade every space and you, my dear friend, will never be the same again.

His love transforms. His love is a revolution. It’s life altering. Let HIS LOVE wash you.
